Today I’m going to review the Boundless Tera portable vaporizer. It is the latest addition to the critically acclaimed Boundless series. The Boundless Tera is a successor of the Boundless CFV, which was the first full-convection vaporizer made by Boundless Technology.
Let’s see what has changed and what Boundless Tera has to offer, shall we? As you can see, the Boundless Tera is a bit bulky. Nevertheless, it fits perfectly into the palm of your hand and it’s not too heavy.
Moreover, the Tera is bulky for a good reason – it holds two 18650 batteries and yes, they are swappable, which a HUGE advantage. So, despite the power-consuming convection heating system, it holds enough juice for about an hour of continuous operation, which is great for a full-convection vaporizer.
And once the batteries are dead, you can swap them in no time. The whole unit looks elegant and sleek, I like the design a lot. Ok, the Boundless Tera looks great, but how’s the performance of this vaporizer? The heater is very powerful so it reaches the desired temp in about 30 seconds and allows blowing some serious clouds.
Thanks to the full-convection heating system, the vapor is flavourful, potent and smooth. The stainless-steel heating chamber holds around 0.3 grams of herb and acts as a heat sink, adding some radiative heat transfer for even bigger clouds.
The efficiency is great – you get tons of vapor and your herb is being heated very evenly, so there’s no need to stir your bowl. The temperate can be adjusted up to a single degree anywhere from 60 to 220 degrees Celsius.
Moreover, there’s a concentrated setting with a fixed temperature of 260 degrees Celsius. So if you combine it with a concentrate pad included in the set you can vaporize extracts with ease and with great results.
The Boundless Tera features three mouthpiece options. You can use a standard folded mouthpiece made of plastic, which cools down the vapor very well and is very discreet. You can swap it with a glass mouthpiece for a better flavor, which is the second option.
And if you like to pair your vaporizer with a bong or bubbler, you’re all set as well – there’s a water pipe adapter included in the set, which is a truly brilliant idea! Ok, so what are cons of the Boundless Tera? There are not many, to be honest.
The unit is rather big, so it makes it not too discreet but it’s still not bad. While the radiative heat provides more even heating of your herbal material, it adds a bit of conduction as well, so your herb might be heated even after you switched off your vaporizer.
But I can’t say it’s a disadvantage as it provides bigger clouds and greater vapor production. Overall, the Boundless Tera is a great vaporizer and it’s not too expensive. The performance is great, the vapor quality is awesome and I love the fact that there’s a water pipe adapter included in the set.
So, all in all, I highly recommend the Boundless Tera to you! What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments section below. We’d love to hear from you.
